A great advantage is meeting the inhabitants through the proposed activities: typical meals at local homes, visits to craftspeople, folk evenings, etc. The circuit is dedicated to travelers interested in joining a small group with all services included – typical accommodations for the regions traveled, all meals, transport, guide and visits.
This trip also offers the opportunity to discover preserved rural landscapes, where traditions are still passed down from generation to generation. Local markets, picturesque villages and traditional costumes testify to the cultural richness of these regions. History and architecture enthusiasts will be seduced by the diversity of monuments and remarkable sites. Each day holds its share of discoveries and emotions, in a friendly and authentic atmosphere. This circuit is an excellent way to explore the most beautiful regions of Roumanie while enjoying a perfectly organized trip.

Route to Bukovina

Maramureș → Bucovina

5h200 km

After breakfast we leave Maramures to join another region, that of Bucovine. A stop is planned on the way to visit the village of Ieud and its wooden church in the Valley, which was built in 1718. There you will find a beautiful collection of glass icons from Maramures. Then we take the road that climbs to the Prislop Pass (over 1400m altitude) and you will be amazed by the landscape on both sides: the peaks of the Eastern Carpathians and the wide pastures scattered with seasonal shepherds' huts; it's the right time to say goodbye to Maramures! Once we arrive in Bucovine, the village of Ciocanesti will certainly attract your attention with its houses that have exterior walls decorated with colorful stucco featuring geometric or floral motifs from traditional embroidery. In the afternoon we visit a craftsman who decorates Easter eggs and you will discover the egg decoration technique as well as a collection of decorated eggs. And to not prolong the suspense too much you will see a first monastery, that of Moldovita.
