Cradle of the 1989 Roumanie revolution and European Capital of Culture 2023, Timisoara reveals its baroque squares, its Fabric district and its 1200 roses.

The city of Timisoara boasts numerous tourist attractions worth exploring. Visitors will primarily head to Saint George Cathedral.

Other sites such as the city's Orthodox cathedral, the great synagogue, Victory and Liberty squares, the Nicolas Lenau college, the military museum, the art museum, the "memorial" museum (dedicated to the 1989 revolution), and the zoological garden will also attract visitors.

Timisoara, or the City of Roses as it is affectionately known, owes this nickname to its parks and gardens. It is an important multicultural hub and the country's third most populated city. In the central square you'll find medieval buildings, including the Catholic Cathedral with its ornate Baroque decorations, built in the 18th century. After cultural visits, unwind in the Rose Park and admire the multitude of flowers. Following its latest renovation in 2012, the park now features over 1,200 species of roses!
